The first full length Wonderminers CD is out on January 16th. It’s called “These Fell Off The Shelf” and it’s a good one.

To celebrate it we’re playing a release show on that date in Semifinal, Helsinki. We’ll have a special lineup and also the fantastic Kytäjä are joining us. Grand!

Yes, I’m working on some Wonderminers songs again. To hear the first finished one, follow the link below –  it’s a (by my standards, anyway) noisy one about youth, summer and sound.

New track up

October 16th, 2011

Ok, it’s not new but you haven’t heard it yet.

Gift was originally demoed with the band Red Carpet in 2006. This version was recorded by JVA in November 2009 – Olli’s on drums, Samuli on bass, me doing the rest.

Set list for last night’s almost solo show at the Flavour Of The Month club:

My part of town
Stars in the window
Sick of dreaming
Good news (feat. Heidi)
You And I (Wilco-cover feat.Heidi)

The Genuine Fakes and Sugarrush were great fun! I recorded a clip of the Fakes’ show – check it out on the singer Johan’s blog.

Semifinal tomorrow

July 12th, 2011

Our next show is tomorrow at Semifinal, Helsinki. Sadly it will be the last show with Olli on his famous suitcase drums – at least for a couple of years. Starting from next month he’ll be more prominent on the Bangladesh indie pop scene..

So come see us while you still can! No pressure.
